>5 >> 'weapons of mass destruction' off the kerry coast

Just in case you were thinking that those elusive Iraqi 'weapons of mass destruction' had finally turned up, your wrong ! These are different ones, some of America's stockpile of weapons grade plutonimum, are being shipped to France for conversion to nuclear fuel as part of a US-Russia disarmament treaty. Of course this disarmament is good, but it happens that these lethal WMD's will pass a mere 150 miles off the Kerry coast, angering many Kerry people.

> >> democracy the irish method

Mr. GW Bush has made us all aware of Mr Hussain's tyrannical reign over the people of Iraq. Mr. Hussain had a unique way of winning 'democratic' elections, through manipulation of the media, election rigging, and oppression of the opposition. Although we Kerry people may be outraged by the use of similar tatics in Bush's campaign, we have to question if similar tactics are employed in our own presidential elections.
Yes, there are many ways to to influence an electoral process, it may seem that the irish way is for the political parties not to only deny others the opportunity to run, but also to judge it too costly to run any candidates themselves. It's a pity they don't do the same at the next general election and allow for some real choice,

Kerry 1-20 Mayo 2-9
Kerry continues to grow fat on All-Irelands, the Mayo famine goes on with hunger unsated. But it’s no hard luck story for the Westerners this time as the hollow feeling of coming up short on final day darkens the mood of the county again – quite simply, they were outclassed from pillar to post after Kerry produced their most intoxicating football of the year, and perhaps ever. The men of the Kingdom have answered their doubters, and manager Jack O’Connor has silenced his, but the question marks that have dogged Mayo teams under John Maughan will remain over a long winter.
