> >> pro America

Kerry is Pro-America and why wouldn't we be? Wasnt it a Kerryman who discovered it? In the 6th century 'Brendán the Navigator' born on Kerrys coast, while looking out over the waves he wondered what lay beyond the horizon. Brendán set sail across the wide Atlantic in search of the 'Promised Land' , the land that we know today as America. But America is a relatively new name for this land . Before it had many different names; in Norse folkore it was known as "Ireland ed mikla" (Greater Ireland). Maps in the time of Columbus's journey had 'Brendans Island' located in the western atlantic, but by this time nobody believed it was real, after all Columbus was searching for a western route to India when he accidentally stumbled upon America.

Ever since Brendáns famous journey there has been a strong link between the lands and a bond between their peoples. Over the centuries millions of Kerry people have journeyed across the atlantic to our western neighbor. These people and their descendants played a hugh part in the building of that great nation, They helped fight the war of Independence, build the cities, the roads and railways. Kerry people and their descendants have invested too much time and effort in America to see it destroyed.

> >> anti war

Kerry, is a tranquil place in its people peacefull..As part of the Republic of Ireland it is both Neutral and Nuclear Free. Although peace now covers the land in the past it has seen death and bloodshed. In the past many people from all over the world have invaded and attacked our country but we have never retaliated by attacking another country. Indeed rather than being a bad thing for Kerry these Invader's have been assimilated in our country, and this has led to our rich cultural diversity.

> >> anti bush

There are a thousand reasons why we are anti-Bush. He has lied and misled not only his own people but millions of others around the globe. He used his governmental position and media propaganda to abuse the democratic system, disregard basic human rights, promote capitalism, war and instill negative ethno-centric ideas in the American population.

From the outset George Bush's political career has followed quite a dubious pattern. The process by which George Bush came to be elected four years ago was determined to be undemocratic. While in office, Bush seems to have forgotten that the duty of the President is to represent the American people and not the needs of oil companies, weapons manufacturers and his personal friends.

It is not only the American people who have been impacted by Bush's questionable decisions. Over the past 100 years many international agreements have been forged in order to create a safer planet to live on. Since his term in office President Bush has reneged on many of these treaties for example, the Geneva Convention and Kyoto protocols. Without America's backing of these agreements, many of these agreements now do not have the same political clout.

We of the international community won't have a vote in the next American presidential election. We ask you to do what is best for this planet and it's inhabitants - do not vote for Bush.
